Lonely Wolf
Here come the “Lonely Wolf” It as been a long journey between me and this beast. I’d like to think that this Wolf is a part of a legend. A legend that say if you look closely in his eyes you’ll see who you really are, what you’re really capable of. Strenght come from you.
The Paw
We all left our foot print into this world! I use to think that we’re all connected to nature and if we use to spend enough time in nature we’re all going to find wich is or are the animals that we relate the most.
Since my youth i use to spend most of my time in nature and I’ve been put in contact with bears. Bears are an iconic symbol of wilderness and nature.
Bear The teaching of bravery is taught to us by the bear. Bears are known to confront threats they should be fearful. The bear holds its heart to remind us to live in honesty – to live from the heart. Never lie or gossip. Be honest with yourself and others. Speak from your heart. Be true to your word.
The Bear stands tall to remind us of the teaching of Courage. Listen to your heart. It takes courage to do what is right.
Inner Balance
I wanted to put on paper what represents for me the inner balance while having a connection with nature, which animals represented me the most and which had a deep meaning to me. I ended up with the Bear and the Eagle. In the kingdom of spirit animals its said that who have is animal as totem: The primary meaning of the bear spirit animal is strength and confidence. Standing against adversity; taking action and leadership. The spirit of the the bear indicates it’s time for healing or using healing abilities to help self or others. The bear medicine emphasizes the importance of solitude, quiet time, rest. The spirit of the bear provides strong grounding force.
As a power animal, the Eagle is most frequently associated with wisdom and freedom. Here a additional symbolic meanings for the Eagle totem: Intuition, Creativity, Strength, Courage, Hope, Resilience, Healing, Vision, Healing and sexual Power.
It was quite a challenge to make this last piece. This is the first time that I have used a color other than black so I had to do several tests not to spoil everything. I’ve been working on this drawing for more than 3 months and good god it made me experience emotions like no drawing has ever made me live before. It almost cost me an surgery on my jaw because my mastoid muscle was too inflamed. I had to go to the emergency, see different type doctor, try alternative medecine. Do scans and x-rays to see what was the problem and explain my pain. Now I have to do physiotherapy to decrease the inflammation. But in the end every pain attack has been worth it because it is the sacrifice and the determination that we show that determines who we are and where we are in this life.
Orca
An animal caught my attention more than the others by its meaning and two legends which piqued my curiosity and which made my imagination work which allowed me to create this work and it is the orca (killer whale).
One legend tells us that when a person drowns, Killer Whales will take the body to the deep ocean and transform it into one of their own. This is why we can sometimes observe Orcas swimming close to shore. They are transformed humans, yearning for their old life.
The other legend is about our ancestors who used to watch the wolves sacredly leave the forests, heads bobbing from side to side and walk down to the waters edge. As they immersed themselves in the water, they transformed from wolves to killer whales and swam off into the sea. The sheer significance of witnessing this transformation kept the people patiently waiting, hidden on the beaches. The killer whales would swim back to shore and transform back into wolves.
The killer whales and wolves teach us the importance of family as they both live in groups (pods and packs) and look after their families. The Orca is the largest predator on earth. Hence, in First Nations art the Orca is often depicted as a powerful and intimidating being.
The Sting
Life will pinch you, sting you, burn you and yes hurt you but it’s always to put you back on the right track. Never get discouraged, it’s just a difficult moment that will eventually pass and give way to positives.
Turtle
HER ! The Turtle brings the teaching of Truth. Always seek Truth. Living the Truth is living all these teachings – Respect, Love, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom and Humility.
She is the a spectacular example of determination because from her first minutes she must fight for her survival while using all her means to get to the ocean which is supposed to be the place where she will be safest but which is just as full of dangers. Her whole life will be a fight for survival which she faces with incredible grace.
Surfer’s Soul
After several months of working on this drawing which made me doubt several times and which required a lot of patience and pain in the jaw, I am proud to present this latest entirely mouthdrawing masterpiece several thousand dots later.
I had to take a lot of time to refocus on myself, who I am and what my passions are. Each drawing represents a part of who i am. I always leave a part of myself and my soul there which makes the process more difficult. It’s always emotional for me to post a new drawing but so exciting and so liberating.
it’s been a while since I wanted to draw a wave and a surfer because it’s one of my biggest passions. Riding a wave is like moving forward in life. You always have to keep your balance, readjust yourself and always keep in mind that despite the difficulties there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
Unicity
We all feel alone sometimes and misundrerstanded even when we are surrounded by close people but we have to embrace the fact that we’re unique and it’s normal that we feel misunderstanded because only us know everything about ourself that poeple don’t know. It’s the beauty of being unique. Embrace it!
The Eagle
I like to think that each animal has a special and unique role to play in the forest and thus create a balance. For me the eagle is the one who sees everything, the one who has to be the eyes that watches over the forest from the air.
LOVE represented by the EAGLE. The Eagle welcomes all with the spirit of Love. The wings spread in welcome. Love is the essence of life. Always act in love. Love the Creator. Love Mother Earth. Love yourself, your family, and your fellow human beings.
Wings of Resilience
Butterflies’ ability to navigate long distances and endure various climates showcases their resilience. They remind us to stay resilient in the face of challenges, adapting and finding hope even in difficult times.
With their ability to flutter freely through the air, butterflies represent the essence of freedom.
They remind us to embrace a light-hearted and carefree approach to life. Their gentle flight patterns also symbolize the need to let go of burdens and find joy in simplicity.
